Web design choices

FACTS ABOUT STATIC AND DYNAMIC WEBSITE DESIGN

One of the things a modern Web designer has to decide is what basic kind of Web page to create. A website (also written Web site or simply site) is a collection of related web pages containing images, videos or other digital assets. It basically has two types – the Static and Dynamic.
The Static website is the simplest way to show your product or business online. It is the one that has web pages stored on the server in the format that is sent to a client web browser. It is primarily coded in Hypertext Markup Language, HTML. This type of website usually displays the same information to all visitors. Similar to handing out a printed brochure to customers or clients, a static website will generally provide consistent, standard information for an extended period of time.
The Dynamic website is one that changes or customizes itself frequently and automatically, based on certain criteria. It can have two types of dynamic activity: Code and Content. Dynamic code is invisible or behind the scenes and dynamic content is visible or fully displayed. The main purpose of a dynamic website is automation. A dynamic website can operate more effectively, be built more efficiently and is easier to maintain, update and expand. It is much simpler to build a template and a database than to build hundreds or thousands of individual, static HTML web pages.

PROS AND CONS OF STATIC AND DYNAMIC WEB DESIGN

STATIC WEBSITE DESIGN ADVANTAGES

One of the major advantages of Static web design is flexibility and low cost during the construction phase. Since this type of website is done based on HTML codes it is easier to maintain and wonderful benefit for a small business owner that wants to have a simple website in which the content will not be frequently changed.

STATIC WEBSITE DESIGN DISADVANTAGES

The major problem with Static website design is it does not allow viewers to have control over the information regarding the product or business. Although it is cheaper to construct it will be very expensive to update since you have to redo the coding on every page. So, for example, let's say you have a 10 page website and each page is static and your address is hard-coded in each page. If your business were to move, you would need to pay the designer to update your address on each of the ten pages. Now imagine your site was made up of 100 pages. It will be very expensive.

DYNAMIC WEB DESIGN ADVANTAGE

The major advantage of Dynamic web design is it caters user’s need and demands, thus making it more popular and well visited that the static site. A dynamic web site will have all recent contents on a regular basis by administrators with supplies of all the information of the product and its various aspects. Its web contents always maintain a professional outlook for the user. It is also easy and less expensive to update than the static site.

DYNAMIC WEB DESIGN DISADVANTAGE

Dynamic websites are often not indexed well by search engines than static sites. This type of site usually puts more load on the server you are running therefore you may need a faster server for this type of site. Another thing with Dynamic site is it can be time consuming to develop.

SO WHAT TYPE OF WEBSITE IS BEST?

Personally I would prefer Dynamic Web Design since this type of site interacts with the users and it can cater unique features thus it will be more popular and can easily attract viewers. Although there are some disadvantages with Dynamic Web Design they are greatly outweighed by the advantages. In addition to that, the disadvantages can be solved, like any problem.

A recent study conducted by a Neuroscientist Sarah Loughran a student at Swinburne University's Brain Sciences Institute in Melbourne said that exposure to mobile phone can affect a person's brain waves even when the handset is switched off and the user is asleep.

They conducted an experiment where they exposed 50 people to cellphone radiation for about thirty minutes, then after studying their brain waves Loughran said the results show that there was an increase in brain wave activity in the first part of non-rapid eye movement (REM) sleep, following mobile phone exposure this movement is known as alpha brain wave activity. However according to Loughran any effects and health consequences of the exposure is still unclear.

Another study was conducted by Nora D. Volkow, director of the National Institute on Drug Abuse, according to her people exposed to 50 minutes of cellphone radio frequencies saw an increased brain glucose metabolism in the region closest to the antenna although the study proves that the human brain is sensitive to the effects of RF-EMFs from acute cell phone exposures still there are no solid evidence that the cellphones cause serious brain damage. However precautions are still encourage when using cellphones, after all prevention is always better than cure.

Atlas!!! summer is here once again, now we have all the reasons to wear a "Bare-it-all-attire" without looking too flashy. Lets start with the perfect colors suited for the season, first what do you imagine when you hear the word "SUMMER"? yes i know sun, sky, waves, and so much more, to reflect this elements with fashion lets integrate their colors, for the sun a bright yellow or orange can be used, this colors reflects the sizzling and hotness of the sun, wearing bright colors is a must for this season which can pop you out from the crowd. If you prefer the cooler side like the waves and the ocean the Blue and green hues will suite you perfectly, these colors reflects calmness and serenity. Floral pattern is also in for this season wearing them reflects your bubbly side.

However summer is not just about the clothes and fashion trends, be aware that the Sun's heat can also cause serious problems if we won't be too careful, if your planning to have a tan to be hipped this summer or to stay outdoors then better use a good tanning and sunscreen lotion which has a minimum of 30 SPF but this doesn't mean that because you have a higher SPF lotion you can stay longer under the sun without re-applying, according to the study of the FDA No matter which level of sunscreen is used, the guidelines for use and application are the same. When using any level of SPF always reapply after every 2 hours since perspiration and water can wear off even waterproof formulas and once sun protection is on the skin, the bonds begin to breakdown the instant it is exposed to sunlight. Wear protective clothing, such as hats and cover-ups, especially for those with sensitive skin. Always remember to wear a sunscreen even cloudy days, since clouds does not block the UV rays which the sun emits, so basically cloudy days wont take you off the hook from serious skin problems.

To have a hot sizzling look for the summer always remember the "LESS IS MORE" rules, since the heat of the sun is stronger this season perspiring is a number one problem, you don't want to look like your melting under the sun do you? so avoid using thick foundations this can only contributes with your perspiring, instead accentuate your glowing skin by brushing on a light shimmering powder this way you will look like a golden goddess without the heavy and messy feeling on your face. To keep your lips luscious try using a shiny lip gloss with enough moisturizer and vitamin e to avoid your lips from chapping. If your planning to use a mascara always remember "WATERPROOF" never ever used a mascara that is not waterproof especially if your planning to go to the beach, unless you want to look like a Raccoon, and lastly top your look with a shimmery bronze or gold eyeshadow to draw attention to your eyes.

Summer is like a one-time-season, before you know it its gone so to make the best out of this hot season we must enjoy every second of it, but bare in mind that we should always be careful and keep a healthy way of spending our summer, drink plenty of water and avoid staying out too long under the sun, follow the my simple tips. Take time to sit back, relax and enjoy time with your friends and family.

Another breath taking gadget was finally announced by Apple in addition to their MacBook Pro line of laptops. The Macbook Pro 2011 was released Last February 24, they included Intel's latest Sandy Bridge processors, which integrates an HD Graphics 3000 processor with the CPU, they also adopted the Intel's new Thunderbolt technology. Just like the Macbook pro 2010, it varies from 13, 15 and 17 - inch models starting at $1,199, $1,799 and $2,499.

The Macbook Pro 2011 is virtually identical to its predecessor. Slim with its iconic curved lid, the aluminium unibody chassis exudes premium build quality from all angles , however it has three significant changes first the optical drive will be remove, second the hard drive will be shift into a solid state storage with SSDs up to 512GB and third the Light-Peak or the Thunderbolt as they call it is being pushed through, a new technology which the Intel developed that can speed up the data transfer up to 10Gbps, 20 times faster than USB 2.0. The Thunderbolt port supports Display Port, DVI, HDMI, and VGA displays. You could connect easily with multiple high-speed devices, as well as your high resolution display.

Each models has improved features on their specs, for the 13-inch model it has now a dual-core intel, Core i5 2.3GHz processor or, the fastest dual-core processor, Intel Core i7 2.7GHz, for the graphics it is using the build-in Intel HD Graphics 3000 with 384MB RAM. The Mac Book Pro 15 and 17-inch model is  powered by 2.0GHz or 2.2Ghz Quad-core Intel Core i7 processor, for the graphics the 15-inch and 17-inch has both Intel HD Graphics 3000 AND, with automatic switching, the more powerful AMD Radeon HD graphic processor.

The Mac Book Pro 2011 was obviously designed for speed and long endurance,  it enables users to browse faster with multiple windows without annoying buffers and with high definition graphics. With its advance technology we can only expect more from its developers,  the Apple company which i personally believed will continue to improved their product and will keep us drooling with awe.
